Is Sitting Too Much The Problem Or Is The Problem HOW You Sit?

Hello friends, and welcome to this month’s Joyinmovement newsletter,

I’ve got two tidbits for you this month.

1. It is an understatement to say keeping our spines as healthy as possible, for as long as possible, is essential. And mitigating back pain goes hand-in-hand with keeping our spines and bodies healthy.

I’m thinking by now you’ve all heard that we sit too much and sitting too much causes all sorts of problems. As with most “staying healthy” news we get, this is not only an oversimplification, but it leaves out what I think is the most important point: it’s not HOW MUCH we sit, but rather HOW we sit.

This month I’m sharing this article with you. It has all you need to know about sitting so that you spare your back and spine. It’s written with humor, has the most lovely photo of sitting I’ve seen, and the instructions are simple to follow.

2. To start 2019 off on good footing, I’ve upgraded and made changes to my Joyinmovement site, so let’s take a tour.

Just like sitting, it’s not how much you run, but HOW you run!

One of the most exciting new features on Joyinmovement was recently added.
