Reading Time: 2 minutes

Are you one of those people who thinks you don’t have time for exercise? Exercise is so important and benefits us in so many ways. Yet it’s very easy to shrug it off, skip it, and think you’ll get to it another day or time. Maybe that happens, but more often than not, it doesn’t. If you don’t think you have time for exercise, here’s an easy, simple solution to add walking into your daily routine.

Don’t Think You Have The Time To Exercise? Try This Walking Routine!

Here’s a recipe for 30 minutes of fitness walking: walk for 10 minutes three times a day.

There are days when you feel strapped for time for a more full-length exercise session. Did you know that studies show cardio exercise done in increments can be as effective as cardio done for longer durations?

For many time-strapped people, that’s an important ah-ha!

Thinking logically, you can do one 10 minute session in the morning, one at lunch and
one after dinner. This recipe for fitting exercise and a walking routine into a busy day makes it way more doable.

  • If you’ve got a dog, the morning and evening ones can be used as dog walking times.
  • Going shopping? Park at the other end of the mall and walk ten minutes each way to your
    destination.
  • Going out to dinner or lunch? Park ten minutes away and walk both ways.
  • Do you work in a large building or at a school with a track? Use the stairs in the building
or go outside for ten minutes on the track.
  • During informal business meetings, if it’s appropriate, walk around outside while you talk.
  • Walk and talk on your phone. Taking most calls and walking at the same time, even if it’s indoors, can add many minutes of fitness walking.

Be creative with your walking routine! Ten minutes will go by very quickly. It’s a great investment in your long-term well-being and health.
